NHS Talking Therapies to replace IAPT/psychological therapies services in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin

NHS Talking Therapies will be the new name for IAPT/psychological therapies services in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, provided by Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. Over the next few months you will start to see reference to a new team name and changes within the service.

A new leadership structure is being developed, refining what we do and merging the Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin services into a single service.

During this time the team have been working hard to reduce the internal wait for therapy. The number of people waiting over 18 weeks has been halved and people are being seen much quicker.

The team now has specialist practitioners in community development who are building links with other services to deliver talking therapy, and building trust in services to help people who may not have considered therapy previously.
