A year on from the launch of the ‘Everyone Belongs Here’ campaign, health and care partners across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin are celebrating a movement that continues to champion respect, dignity and fairness for all.
Launched in May 2025 to coincide with World Day for Cultural Diversity, the campaign set out with a simple but powerful message: “We’re all different. We’re all unique. Everyone belongs here.” Twelve months later, that message remains just as important.
Over the past year, colleagues from across the NHS, local councils and wider partner organisations have continued working together to strengthen inclusion, promote understanding and create safer, more supportive environments for staff, patients and communities alike.
Partners continue to strengthen processes for reporting and responding to discrimination, while also promoting equality, diversity and inclusion through ongoing learning, engagement and support initiatives.
The campaign has helped shine a spotlight on the people who make up the local health and care system – from frontline teams and support staff to volunteers and leaders – recognising the vital contribution individuals make every day.
Since its launch, the campaign’s messages have been visible across hospitals, community settings, offices and public spaces throughout the county, helping to encourage kindness, compassion and inclusion.
As the campaign marks its first anniversary, staff, patients and members of the public are once again being encouraged to reflect on what it means to belong, and how small acts of respect, understanding and kindness can make a lasting difference.
