Have your say to improve support for people to remain independent

28 December 2022

NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, Shropshire Council and Telford and Wrekin Council are reviewing two of our community services that support people to regain and maintain their independence.

  • Community Equipment Loan Services – these services are provided by health and social care through assessment for equipment, such as beds, bath lifts, stand aids and toilet raisers to help people leave hospital safely and/or stay independent and mobile in their homes.
  • Community Beds Services – a range of services that promote faster recovery from illness, prevent unnecessary admission to acute hospitals, support timely discharge from hospital and maximise independent living. The services are provided on a short-term basis, in hospital, or care home, usually after a stay in hospital following an illness or injury and before returning home.

We are inviting people to share their experiences and views by completing a short survey. Your feedback will inform our understanding of what matters to you and what you feel is most important, which in turn will enable us to improve  our services. We want to hear from people who have used these services as well as those who haven’t but might in the future.

You can respond to the survey here or let us know if you would be interested in being involved in the ongoing development of these services through attending a panel, by clicking here.

If you would like the survey in an alternative format, please email TellUs@shropshire.gov.uk or telephone Shropshire Council’s Customer Services on 0345 678 9000 and tell us how we can help.

Last date for submissions: 23rd, January 2023.
