- Receive updates about local developments in health and care
- Be invited to attend an event once a year to meet other network members and the leaders of local health and care services.
What do we need from you as a member?
- You don’t need to have any experience of using health and care services
- A willingness to contribute
- As much or as little time as you can give
- A desire to help improve local health and care and make a difference.

What does being a network member involve?
You are able to choose how much time you offer us. Most members will be asked to complete a short survey every month or so. We know your time is valuable, so we make sure that our surveys take no more than 10 minutes to complete. Our surveys will generally be on different health or social care topics and the people within the NHS and Local Authority who make decisions on local services proactively consider the feedback we receive. You can fill them out on your phone or computer at a time and place that suits you, we can also do telephone interview if you need additional assistance. So being part of our network can fit around your other commitments.
If there is a requirement for a focus group, those on the panel database will be contacted and asked if they would like to take part. These meeting will normally take place online / virtually, but from time to time we may also invite you to a face-to-face meeting.
You can leave or opt out of the People’s Network at any time.
What do we do with the feedback from the network?
The People’s Network is just one of the ways that NHS Shropshire Telford and Wrekin listens to the views of local residents to help make decisions on how best to improve services and to inform key decisions.
By signing up to take part, you will be asked to complete surveys or provide feedback on things like hospital services, GP access, care services, public health services and much more.
We forward your feedback and comments to health and care leaders across our county in order to ensure that your voice is considered at all stages. What you tell us will be fed directly into the decision-making process when we consider changes to our services or policies.
Do I need to work in health or social care to take part?
No, you just need to be a resident of Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin aged 16+. No prior knowledge of health or social care is required to take part.
How do you handle my data?
Your personal data will be held securely and not be shared with any third parties. By signing up to the People's Network you agree that your personal data can be used to send you opportunities to have your say on health and care that we believe you may be interested in.
Your responses will be linked to the demographic information you supply when you register with the network, but your responses will be anonymous as we use unique ID codes rather than individuals’ names to analyse the data.
How do I sign up?
Complete the form below to sign up and we will add you to our database and begin contacting you when and where it is appropriate.
