Type 1 Diabetes - CYP

This is the most common type of diabetes in children and is caused by an autoimmune condition. The body's immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas, leading to an absolute lack of insulin. It cannot be prevented.
