Diabetes in children and young people (CYP) involves the body's inability to regulate blood sugar, with Type 1 being the most common form. Type 2 diabetes is also increasingly diagnosed in younger individuals, often linked to lifestyle factors and increased body weight. Prompt diagnosis is crucial to prevent serious complications.
