Type 2 Diabetes

Type 2 diabetes is a condition where the body does not use insulin properly or does not produce enough insulin to maintain normal blood sugar levels. This leads to high blood glucose (sugar) levels, which can cause various health problems if not managed. Unlike type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes is often preventable and can sometimes be managed through lifestyle changes like diet and exercise. Some people are at higher risk because of their age, ethnicity, family history or living with overweight or obesity. It can sometimes be prevented with lifestyle changes and treatment.
