Lingen Davies: Titty Trail 2025
The Lingen Davies Cancer Support's Titty Trail is an 11-mile awareness walk designed to encourage participants to be body aware and to recognise the signs and symptoms of breast cancer. “Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in the UK and we know from current statistics from Cancer Research UK, there are over 55,000 new cases each year, with one in seven women and around 400 men diagnosed in the UK annually.”
This growing need for awareness is exactly why Lingen Davies created the Titty Trail as a fun, informative, and accessible way to help people better understand the importance of early detection and knowing their bodies.
Held during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the event took place across two scenic locations, Aberystwyth and Bishop’s Castle. Each route featured 11 distinctive trail markers, each providing visual prompts to reinforce the charity’s LiveLife team message: “Knowing your body is knowing your risk.”
As participants made their way along the trail, they encountered 11 educational markers highlighting key symptoms of breast cancer, including lumps, thickening, skin dimpling, or unusual nipple changes. By combining awareness and action, the Titty Trail proved to be an inspiring and involved way for hundreds of participants to learn, engage and contribute towards the improvement of cancer awareness and vital cancer services across the region.
Isobel Onions, LiveLife Coordinator for Lingen Davies, explained that “Our LiveLife Cancer Awareness Service was established to help local people understand the importance of knowing their bodies and accessing cancer screening opportunities. The Titty Trail is a perfect example of an engaging and immersive way to educate and inspire our communities.”
Both trails left over 400 participants with a clear and lasting message, the charity’s key takeaway in cancer awareness, to “Look for anything new, unusual, and that doesn’t go away.”
